Lets bring on the change

Posted on June 15, 2020 at 11:15 PM Comments comments (1021)

Its time for fathers to show all these young people that they are doing the right thing, and not to stop until the system asked them what else do they need. Our lives as fathers have caused our children to suffer. Lack of education, Low paying Jobs, drugs and alcohol, no medical service just enough to get to the next pay check. Bad relationship because of lack, crime, self hate. How can we do better if we are not allowed. Fathers be that light for your children when they get tired stand up, feed them cheer them on love them for what they are doing. Change is coming.

Because I'm A black Father.

Dont let my black daddiness get in your way or fool you I am a father. I speak to fatherhood not by color but by how I love my children. I don't teach or model hate of anyone to my children. It's not right to raise my children ignorant. Their mother left them I never taught them to hate her but to pray for and love her and it hurt like hell but, I did'nt want to cultivate or carry that seed of hate and anger. I'm 3 generations out of plantation share cropping Slavery. I realize I dont want white or black slaves, or to be one any longer,  nor for my children to live in a world the believes that anyone should be slaves. Right now fathers of all colors can teach their children how to be the greatest people that ever lived on this earth. The information that is comimg out is the most honest but painful truths we have been denied, so listen, digest it and feed your families its your God given responsibility. Don't mess this up its really for them. www.fathersinacton.org

Being a father does not always look or feel good, always being the one who makes decisions nobody likes or understands. You really never get use to it you just bare with it for the sake of holding down the family. You have to always have them no matter what. That means even in a Pandemic or total Racial Upheaval. We must be Dad no matter what!!, even if they leave you or curse you God will bless your work as long as you followed his plan because he got you. He will be with you at all times. Fruit don't just grow on trees.

Change is coming

Yes I believe we can make things better racially, but where do we start? My sites are on education for our children from Kindergarden to College. Not just on the system appologized and we can be ok now. Explain how and why we were enslaved. Then economically give back and level the field across the board. Education employment, housing, Health care, credit, and recognition of all our historical contrbutors in every field. Then contribute to every black owned business profit or non profit, support, growth oppurtunities, financial means and legal benefits. Stop expoilting black children all over the world and take good care of Fathers and black children here, not locking us up for profit here in the United States Of America. This can be the greatest country in the world if they want it to be We do.

I Just might recover.

If I keep in mind there is a great God and that my Goal is to please him and love my family and others.

If I manage to keep focused on the prize, Justice for all people of color

If I remember that its not just about me but everybody else.

If I Stay in the now and do all I can today to make a change.

If I can move on from the past and not try to be in the future before its here.

If I don't forget where I came from and how I got there.

If I always remember to be a great blessing to someone else in a bad situation.

Then I just might recover

What you mad about???

It's okay to be angry and let people know what your angry about and what you want them to do about it. How you handle it can either get change and great respect or cause more damage to the situation. I have a opinion and I have a plan and a vision. Most seem to just have a angry opinion. We need to have solutions that we all partake in and enforce. We need to do all the things for others that we can do for ourselves. Less talking and more doing after the talking. All the surveys say the same thing We need eachother right now. If you are a father that associates with fathers in action in any media form I'm proud of you if you Had the right mind not to loot the only closed stores we have. So when the city opens up you can treat your children to something while you teach them how to address our need for equality today. Love and Respect.  www.fathersinaction.org

As much as I'd like to think my feeling don't control me sometimes I'm dead wrong. Its never a day I don't have to think through a feeling because of my past perception of a situation or person. Once I learned that people places and things were not always what I believed they were. (Explaination) I believed that as a father,  I was responsible for all the bad things that happen in my childrens lives. I was taught this at a young age and responded like a stressed out child to all my fatherhood situations, be cause of this perception. Till today its check myself before I wreck myself. I needed help but was not taught to reach out and still be a man. I'm still growing along with my children, grands, great grands, mentees, and  God children. I am a father. www.fathersinaction.org

Its time to Vote. No more blaa blaa blaa its time to Vote I dont care what you heard. If you don't speak up who will. No whole lotta rap, get everybody you can to vote, then stand on your vote in principle and deed. We deserve the best just as much as everyone else but if we settle for less thats what we might get. Its time to vote for ourselves. Fathers teach and persuade your people to VOTE!!!

We are not the children

Sometimes my young adults (children) have a problem expressing their feelings when they feel wronged or hurt. I let them know not to let their feeling rule them even when they are right. Its not just how you feel but how you deal with the feeling, so it does'nt make matters worst now or in the future. Young people are so angry  and waiting for a outlet and plenty of their peers push them to a bad end thinking its being grown or self sufficient. But beware what you reap you will sow. Its never what you do but how you do it that brings peace and maturity. Teach your children by example. Love your children with the power of love in God.

They backbone us when life kicks our back out

What I learned. When my life warrented a good woman she was my backbone when life kicked my back out. Father dont ever think that the mother of you children will never pop up again. You can never be a mom not even on you best dad days. Remember that all children (unless a tradegy) have two parents. Its hard for any single parent to raise children alone. So give your children a future hope for them and their mom, not you. Then your children will respect you. Heal.
